CANAAN — Mr. and Mrs. Allen Clifford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 22 at Crossroads Bible Church in Madison.
Clifford and the former Goldie Nelson were married March 20, 1964, at Clinton Baptist in Clinton, by pastor Werner Berge.

Mrs. Clifford was employed by Woolworths in Skowhegan, and baby-sat triplets and other children.
Clifford is employed by Mainely Trusses in Fairfield, and worked 37 years for the Department of Transportation driving a snow plow.
They have two children, Lisa and Roy Kraut, of Fayette, and Brent and Sheri Clifford, of Skowhegan; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Guests attended from Canaan, Waterville, Benton, South China, Skowhegan, Detroit, Bingham and Standish.
