Hinkley,Lapierre

PORTLAND -- Gary Hinkley of Gardiner and Alma Simmons of Augusta have announced the engagement of their daughter, Laura Hinkley of Portland, formerly of Augusta, to Joshua Lapierre of Portland, formerly of Augusta, son of Mark Lapierre and Rhonda Baker, both of Augusta.

Laura is a 2005 graduate of Cony High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Maine, earning an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Pleasant Street Dental Associates in Brunswick.

Joshua is a 2005 graduate of Cony High School and a 2010 graduate of Husson University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Business. He is a Senior Tax Accountant at Baker, Newman & Noyes in Portland.

A June 2, 2012, wedding in Winthrop is planned.
