Contributed photo The Lawrence High School Varsity Football Cheerleaders will be participating in the Walk for Hope on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Augusta, Maine. Their team is Cheers for a Cure. As a team, they chose this particular event for their community service project for this year. Their goal as a team is to raise $2000 which averages to approximately $100 for each individual cheerleader. To kick off breast cancer awareness month they decided to put a pink jersey on the bulldog that was on the run through for the game against Skowhegan that was held on Saturday October 2, 2010. They made pink tie dyed t-shirts earlier that afternoon to wear as a team in the walk. At the game they also collected $213.80 from spectators in support of the cause. Lawrence Cheerleaders in the photo include: Megan Miville, Samantha Corson, Megan Witham, Brooklyn Strohman, Hailey LaPierre,Victoria Fraser, Paige Davis, Destynee Bona-Davis, Kassidy Martin, Megan Bean, Taylor Mushero, Heather Cousins, Jaycee Patten, Lindsey Guimond, Chelsea Harrison, Kayla Paradis, Casandra Moreau, Alyssa Spencer, and Brianna Shores. Absent are Kelsey Marcia and Keana Emery.
