Antique car and tractor show, Aug. 7

SIDNEY -- The Sidney Historical Society is sponsoring an antique car and tractor show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Spur Riding Club, 3130 West River Road. Registration will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. There is a registration fee of $5 for each participating vehicle. Ribbons will be given to the first 150 participants and people's choice awards will be awarded at noon.

General public admission is $2 per person or $5 per family. Proceeds benefit the Sidney Historical Society.

The society will have an informational booth for anyone who would like to know more about the organization. They will also sponsor a raffle for a log cabin quilt handmade by association members, and a 50/50 raffle.

There will be many antique autos and tractors as well as engines and lawn mowers on display. Categories will include autos from each decade starting with 1910-20, muscle cars, and tractors. There will be a best in show and memorial awards.
