Bushey joins Maine Conservation Corps

SMITHFIELD -- The Maine Conservation Corps recently welcomed Whitney Bushey, of Smithfield, to serve as a team member and AmeriCorps volunteer for the 2013 season. Bushey is the daughter of Jo-Anne and Michael Bushey, also of Smithfield. The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout the state, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation. Bushey is a 2007 Messelonskee High School graduate; and a 2013 University of Maine graduate, where she studied wildlife ecology.
