* Young Teachers as Leaders in Urban School Reform is the title of the talk planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Room 122, Diamond Building.

Former Boston Public Schools teacher and Teach Plus Boston Executive Director Maria Fenwick will speak about teachers’ roles in urban school reform and education policymaking.

* The documentary “Tales of the Waria” will be shown at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Pugh Center, Cotter Union.

Documentarian and ethnographer Kathy Huang will present her film followed by discussion. “Tales of Waria” documents the lives of a group of transpeople in Indonesia known as the Waria.

* Why Innovate? The World Bank and Climate Finance will be the subject at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Room 1, Olin Science Center.

The World Bank portfolio of carbon funds and other instruments is currently the largest multilateral source of climate change financing for developing countries. Liliana B. Andonova examines what drives World Bank agency initiatives to innovate for the environment after years of confrontation with environmental concerns, and she seeks to stipulate the general conditions under which such agency-driven institutional innovations are likely to be upheld and institutionalized by their member states.
