Hill 'n the Ville festivalis set for Saturday

WATERVILLE -- The Hill 'n the Ville Music Festival is set for noon-7 p.m. Saturday at Head of Falls.

The free annual event, presented by Waterville Main Street and Colby College, features a lineup of local live music, food and merchandise vendors, and a variety of games and activities for families.

The musical lineup will kick off with The Cheshire Massacre, a band from Oakland, that earned the right to play at this year's festival by winning Colby College's annual Burst the Bubble Week Battle of the Bands. The Cheshire Massacre will play from 12:30 to 1 p.m.; Paranoid Social Club will perform from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. The third performance will be The Brew from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The headlining act for this year's event is Matt Costa, who will perform from 5 to 6:45 p.m.

The event is hosted by the Colby-Waterville Alliance and sponsored by Winslow Community Federal Credit Union, Kennebec Behavioral Health, Unity College, Are You Ready to Party, Black Dog Graphics and Mix 107.9. Attendees should bring chairs and blankets Coolers are not allowed, and the event is a chem-free event.
