Local workplaces honored for wellness

SKOWHEGAN -- Redington-Fairview General Hospital and Forest Hills Consolidated School in Jackman recently hosted a celebration to honor businesses in Jackman and Skowhegan implementing workplace wellness programs. Participating businesses received recognition with a certificate and incentive check.

Ray Levesque, owner of Bishop's Store in Jackman received an incentive check for his seven full-time employees.

Todd Smith, owner of Maine Fire Equipment, also received recognition at the celebration.

Businesses, employees and spouses can earn additional incentives from the program's WELLpoints Challenge. Two earn points, employees need to complete a personal wellness profile and then participate in community offered programs and services.
