OAKLAND -- Kennebec Messalonskee Trails Hike and Mushroom Hunt is set for 1 p.m. Oct. 3 on the Messalonskee Stream Trail, Kennedy Memorial Drive in Oakland.

You can learn about wild mushrooms: what's edible and what's not? Join Kennebec Messalonskee Trails and local mushrooming experts for a guided hike and tips on collecting edible mushrooms. Bring a brown paper bag for gathering. No charge but donations accepted. For more information, visit www.kmtrails.org.
