SVH Diabetes support group meeting set

PITTSFIELD -- Dick Smith, a motivational speaker, will speak at the Sept. 9 Diabetes Support Group meet at 4 p.m. in the Cianbro Conference Room, 1 Hunnewell Square in Pittsfield.

Smith has lived with diabetes for 16 years, and through his presentations he hopes to help individuals gain a better understanding of the condition and to motivate them to take responsibility for self-management. The public is welcome to attend.

The support group meets from 4 to 6 p.m. the second Thursday of the month. For more information, call 487-3890, ext. 2731 (TTY: 487-4590).
