WATERVILLE — The following free events are scheduled at Waterville Public Library.

* Kelly Services recruiting event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday on the first floor.

Kelly Services will conduct interviews from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Library’s Business & Career Center.

* Introduction to Self Employment Workshop will l begin at 4 p.m., Tuesday on the Library’s fourth floor.

This free, introductory workshop will walk through the pros and cons of owning a business, the steps for getting started, the major elements of a business plan, the many resources available and will help participants decide whether self-employment is the right choice.

* Job Seeking Assistance is available weekly by appointment in the Lunder Conference Room.

Employment Support Specialist Dana Hamilton of the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program provides assistance with job search activities. This service is available by appointment.

* Job Seeking Assistance for Veterans, Business & Career Center, first floor. Weekly: Tuesdays 2-5 p.m. by appointment.

* Aging Worker Initiative Orientation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Colby Program Room.

The Aging Worker Initiative connects aging workers (55 and older) with viable employment and training opportunities in the fields of health care, green energy and technology. An overview of the area career/job seeker programming will also be provided.

* How to Prepare for a Job Fair Workshop will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday and 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the Colby Program Room. Participants can choose either workshop.
