BRAINTREE, Mass. — Two co-workers at a Boston-area Costco store are sharing Wednesday’s $50 million Power Ball jackpot.

Massachusetts Lottery officials said Thursday that Rosa DeLeon, 52, of Arlington and Reginald LeBlanc, 54, of Lexington are taking the $33 million lump sum payout. After taxes, they’ll split $23 million.

DeLeon and LeBlanc work at a Costco store in Waltham. For the past 10 months they’ve bought two Powerball tickets for the twice-a-week drawing. They share one quick-pick and one ticket with numbers DeLeon’s late father used to play.

LeBlanc first noticed their winning quick-pick numbers displayed on a break-room television at work on Thursday morning.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he told reporters at state Lottery headquarters later in the day.

DeLeon said she couldn’t believe it either. “People told Reggie and I it couldn’t happen to better people,” she said. They took the afternoon off to claim their winnings.

Both plan to buy houses. DeLeon says she also plans to take care of her family. She’s married with five grown children and six grandchildren.

LeBlanc, who’s single, said he plans a vacation and to replace some missing teeth, which he said would mean “everything” to him.

Massachusetts has had only one other Powerball jackpot winner since it joined the multistate game in 2010. Jimmy Freeman, a retired Navy civilian worker from Fall River, took the $13.4 million cash option on a $25.6 million jackpot in June 2011.

Winners in Missouri and Arizona shared a record $588 million Powerball jackpot last month.
