Propane truck rollover
leaked transmission fluid
BELGRADE — The Maine Department of Environmental Protection was called to an accident on Route 27 Monday morning, after a propane truck rolled over.
A Downeast Energy propane truck rolled over around 9:30 a.m. and leaked a small amount of transmission fluid, said Jessamine Logan, director of communications for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.
Traffic periodically backed up on the road, and at times was rerouted, until after 1 p.m., when the truck was removed.
The accident was about three miles south of Belgrade Lakes village, near the Belgrade Bible Church.
