China's Cotta keeps House 55 seat

Incumbent David Cotta, R-China, beat Amy Sylvester, D-China, by 2,605 to 1,779 votes Tuesday to keep the House District 55 seat.

Cotta took all three of the district’s communities, winning in Albion 654-341, in part of Benton 699-436 and China 1,252 to 1,002.

Cotta, 65, of China, has served three terms and emphasized reducing costs for businesses as a means to improve the state’s economy.
