PROVINCETOWN, Mass. — The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for a missing fisherman after a scallop boat sank off the coast of Cape Cod.
Officials say the 42-foot boat capsized Sunday morning near Provincetown with two fishermen aboard. The boat had become entangled in fishing gear.
Authorities say crew members from a nearby lobster boat were able to rescue one of the fishermen.
Rescuers then searched the area for the missing fisherman but were unable to find him or the scallop boat. They suspended their search late Sunday night.
The Coast Guard says the incident is under investigation.
