Motorists could face delays at two spots on the Maine Turnpike Tuesday.

A project to relocate utility lines could cause intermittent traffic stops of up to 20 minutes between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. at mile 81 in Lewiston, the MaineTturnpike Authority announced.

Maine State Police will be stopping north and south bound traffic at mile 81 so the lines can be moved safely. The project may be rescheduled due to bad weather, turnpike officials said.

Motorists could face delays of up to 25 minutes at mile 102 in West Gardiner between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m.Wednesday due to overhead bridge girder repairs. The project may be rescheduled to Wednesday if it rains or snows.

Message boards will be in place and highway advisory radio broadcasts on 1610 AM radio will be used to inform motorists about the possible delays.
