Incumbent Larry Charles Dunphy, R-Embden, defeated Colby James Seams, D-Anson, with a 2,644 to 1,462 vote Tuesday in the race for House District 88.
Dunphy won every community in the district including Anson 693-373, Embden 337-135 and New Portland 246-154. The district represents more than 20 communities in Somerset County.
Dunphy, 60, is retired from working at Madison Paper Industries and has served one term in the House. He ran on a platform that supports technical programs for high school graduates and lowering renewable energy costs.
