Parishioners at St. Joseph’s Maronite Church on Appleton Street in Waterville were among those attending Good Friday services, marking the most solemn day in the Christian calendar.

Christians worldwide on Friday reflected on the biblical account of the day Jesus Christ died on the cross. The events culminate on Easter Sunday, when Christians celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.

At St. Joseph’s Friday afternoon, the Rev. Larry Jensen began Good Friday services during a signing of the chalice Mass before offering Communion.
