AUGUSTA — The Maine Sports Commission has launched a new website to showcase and market the state as a premier sports destination.
The site, www.mainesportscommission.com , offers information, tools and interactive resources for planners and visitors to use in planning sporting events and sports-related meetings in Maine. The site also provides a listing of more than 100 athletic venues in the state, a photo gallery, a calendar of upcoming events and links to the commission’s social media outlets.
The commission was formed earlier this year with the goal of attracting national and regional sporting events to Maine.
