PORTLAND — The head of Maine's economic development department is giving the keynote speech at a real estate conference that is drawing hundreds of real estate professionals.
The Maine Real Estate and Development Association is hosting its annual Real Estate Forecast Conference and Member Showcase on Thursday at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. More than 600 people have registered for the event.
Economic and Community Development Commissioner George Gervais will discuss what lies ahead for the state's economy.
Participants will also hear from other experts who will give their takes on the economy and commercial real estate by region and market sectors, including office, retail, industrial, residential and multi-family properties.
