AUGUSTA — Gas prices in Maine continue to trickle down.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reports Monday that the average retail price of a gallon of gas has fallen by more than a penny in the past week to an average of $3.77.
Nationally, prices have fallen by nearly two cents to an average of $3.65.
Current prices in Maine are six cents per gallon lower than the same time a year ago and a little more than a nickel lower than a month ago.
The Maine prices are based on a survey of more than 1,200 gas stations.
