Maine man suffers burns in pickup crash

The Orient man suffers burns to about 70 percent of his body and is taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

ORIENT — Maine State Police say a man is in critical condition after his pickup truck crashed into some trees and caught fire.

Police said 46-year-old Micah Bartlett of Orient was driving east on the No. 9 road in Orient on Sunday night when he went off the road and struck the trees.

A passer-by arriving at the accident said Bartlett was out of the vehicle and was on fire.

Bartlett suffered burns to about 70 percent of his body. He has been hospitalized at Massachusetts General Hospital.
