Mainer Adam Royer’s stay in “The Real World” is apparently over.

The 22-year-old from Falmouth was forced to leave the Las Vegas hotel suite he was sharing with six other young people on Wednesday’s episode of the hit MTV reality series “The Real World.”

Over this season’s first five episodes, Royer was seen drunk and disorderly, smashing a liquor bottle on the floor at one point. On Wednesday night’s episode hotel security asked him to leave after trashing the suite, including punching the walls.

“I’m out. They’re kicking me out,” Royer told his roommates during the episode.

Whether this means Royer will not be on any of this season’s remaining episodes – which run into June – is unclear. MTV publicists did return calls and emails asking for clarification of Royer’s status, and Royer could not be reached for comment.

But Royer did make an appearance Thursday in New York City to do a guest spot on the MTV talk show “The Seven” where he talked about his experience on “The Real World.”

“The Real World” brings seven strangers together to share a home for a couple months, then films them around the clock to see what happens.

Royer auditioned to be on the show at an open casting call in Portland. Royer’s background includes serving three years in juvenile detention – between the ages of 16 and 19 – for his involvement in an armed drug robbery in Buxton, in which a man was shot, but not by Royer.

After getting out, he graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a double major in politics and criminology. He had considered going to law school.

But after filming this season’s “Real World” episodes last fall, Royer said he thinks now he may pursue a career in entertainment.
