CONCORD, N.H. — President Barack Obama has signed an emergency declaration for New Hampshire following Superstorm Sandy.
The declaration will allow state officials to request federal funding and other aid to supplement state and local assistance.
The storm rampaged across the Northeast on Monday, killing more than 70 people and causing 8.5 million power outages to homes and businesses at its peak.
In New Hampshire, the storm caused about 210,000 outages at its peak and caused one death, a 42-year-old Woodstock construction company owner who was buried in a landslide of mud, water and rock.
