Operation Christmas Child

Volunteers are preparing Christmas gifts that will be shipped around the country and world.

Mary Farrar and other volunteers from a church group from Peru put shoe boxes of gifts into shipping boxes on Saturday at Penney Memorial Baptist Church in Augusta. Pam Cullen said that there had been about 1,500 shoe boxes dropped of by Saturday and that more were expected to come in before they’re shipped out Monday morning. The Operation Christmas Child is a project of the Samaritan’s Purse and boxes will be distributed around the country and world.
