Vassalboro’s town manager was recently elected to the Maine Municipal Association’s 12-member executive committee, according to a news release from the organization.

Mary Sabins has been Vassalboro’s town manager since 2008. The executive committee helps set the association’s priorities.

Sabins was town manager of Chelsea 2006-2007 and Windsor 2001-2005.

Sabins and James Chaousis II, town manager of Boothbay who was also elected to the executive committee, will begin their three-year terms on Jan. 14.
