CANAAN, Vt. — A New Hampshire father has been sentenced to two weeks in jail and has to submit an apology letter to the local newspaper for yelling at and jabbing his 12-year-old daughter’s basketball coach after a game in Vermont.

Forty-six-year-old David Tracy of Pittsburg was found guilty last month of disorderly conduct after a 2012 game at the Canaan School on the Vermont-New Hampshire border.

The Burlington Free Press reports Judge Robert Bent ordered Tracy to have an apology letter published in a local weekly newspaper and also complete 75 hours of community service.

Tracy’s wife, Kimberly, said he plans to appeal his conviction, saying a security video of the incident would help clear her husband.
