STAFF REPORT
WATERVILLE -- Police are investigating a burglary early Friday, during which an empty cash drawer was taken from the Burger King restaurant on College Avenue.
Deputy police Chief Charles Rumsey said police were investigating a smashed front glass door at Uptown Style on 189 Main St. at 4:07 a.m. Friday, when the restaurant manager called to report that the building's drive-thru window was smashed.
The manager said he had just arrived at the business, according to Rumsey.
Police discovered that a cash drawer was missing and other cash drawers were damaged, but no money was taken, Rumsey said. Damage to the building was estimated at $1,775, Rumsey said.
