Staff Report
With results in from all but one town, incumbent Russell J. Black, R-Wilton, held a commanding lead over Richard M. Stovall, D-Phillips, in the race for House District 90.
Black was leading 2,732 to 1,215 with New Vineyard’s results unavailable Wednesday.
Black earned most of his votes in Wilton, where he won by 1,656 to 583. The district also includes Avon, New Vineyard, Phillips, Strong, Temple and some townships in Franklin County.
Black cited his 30 years of experience in public service, including the Wilton Board of Selectmen and the Planning Board, as experience he would draw on in office. He said he would also use his work as a farmer and logger to help the Maine economy.
