SKOWHEGAN — A woman was taken to a local hospital tonight following a two-vehicle crash at the downtown corner of Commercial Street and Madison Avenue.

The crash, which occurred about 7:30 p.m., brought Skowhegan police and firefighters to the scene, along with an Emergency Medical Services ambulance from Redington-Fairview General Hospital.

Names of accident victims were not immediately available.

The injured woman complained of chest pain from her seat belt. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

A black Ford F-150 pickup truck and a silver, late model passenger car were heavily damaged in the accident.
