‘White bigfoot’ sighting in Litchfield? Creature website says so

Cryptozoology News released a report from a man who says he saw the “freak” while walking his dog in December.

A website that features reports of leprechauns, human lizards, mermaids and “The Mothman” recently reported the account of an anonymous man who says he encountered a “white bigfoot” creature while walking his dog in Litchfield.

A single man identified only as “M.P.” told Cryptozoology News that he was walking his dog outside his Litchfield home in December when the dog started barking and pulling him as he had never done before.

He said he looked up and saw a huge, fat, white-haired beast, which stopped in front of them, looked at them and growled before screaming and running away into the woods.

“I couldn’t see his eyes well, but they looked brown to me, but very, very dark, almost black,” M.P. told the website. “Big mouth, like a monkey, with big sharp teeth. I tell you, a freak. I’ve always laughed at all these bigfoot nuts. Now I guess I’m the crazy one here. Unless it was a very good hoax played on me, that could be, but I tell you again it ain’t easy for a man to make those kinds of moves. That didn’t look human to me.”

Portland TV station WMTW reported on the website’s claim Friday, quoting Litchfield resident Norm Bosse as saying: “I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some in Maine, if there is any.”

The man who reported seeing the bigfoot told the website he looked for hair but couldn’t find any in the white snow. And tracks in the snow left by the creature, which he said where about 3 feet long and 2 feet wide, filled with snow and were gone by the time he came back to take pictures of them.

This month’s edition of the Cryptozoology News website includes headlines such as “Man in Atlanta: The Mothman Told Me About the Storm,” “Leprechaun Steals Woman’s Wedding Ring,” “Idaho Family Sees Human Lizard on Thanksgiving” and “White Bigfoot Seen Again! Now In Vermont.”

The website says it shares reports of cryptids — animals whose existence is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the yeti — around the world.
