OXFORD — Police have arrested an Auburn man who led officers on a car chase through two counties that ended in a crash.

Police say 27-year-old Kenneth Dunn was driving west on Route 121 at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday when he was clocked going 65 mph in a 35 mph zone in Minot.

When police caught up to Dunn’s car, instead of pulling over, he sped up.

The Sun Journal reports that Dunn was later spotted in Oxford driving 70 mph.

Officers eventually caught up to Dunn after he crashed into a stone wall. He was unharmed. He was charged with eluding a police officer and criminal speed. He was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail where he was held on $1,000 cash bail.
