Police probe discovery of body

A Windham man's death was classified as suspicious as police spent much of Thursday searching for clues near where his body was found.
Police say the body of David Harmon, 41, was found Tuesday night at the base of an 8-foot ledge not far from where he was last seen by his wife, early Tuesday morning.
State police detectives searched a property north of Land of Nod Road, across U.S. Route 302 from Chase Custom Homes.
Police would not say what they were looking for or why they consider the death suspicious, but they did get a search warrant for the property, a spokesman said.
Harmon's address was listed as 73 Hall Road, about five miles north of the area where he was dropped off Tuesday.
An autopsy was done Wednesday, but police released no details, saying they had more questions and additional interviews to conduct.
Harmon was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 200 pounds. He was dropped off by his wife, Melissa, at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday near the corner of Land of Nod Road and Cole Road.
He was wearing camouflage, and published reports said he was planning to look for potential hunting locations. Police would not confirm that.
Bear hunting season started Monday.
Windham police issued a news release just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, saying Harmon was missing. A short while later, his body was found, police said.
The case was then turned over to the state police, who investigate most of the state's homicides.
