Selectman Paul Frederick to chair committee to explore Stark secession from SAD 59

STARKS -- Selectmen Joe Miller and Cindy Kimball voted Monday night to make selectman Paul Frederic the chairman of a committee to pursue seceding from the school district.

But the formation of that committee likely will not happen for a few weeks, they said.

The next step will happen at 7 p.m. on Monday at the town office when selectmen will gather comments from the public about the formation of the committee to explore seceding from School Administrative District 59.

They said anyone interested in joining the committee should attend next week's meeting. They also invited people to call Frederic at 696-8339.
