Drivers hauling loads need to secure them

I am writing to request that drivers hauling loads cover or secure them.

In Sidney recently, my van was struck by a hay bale that flew off the back of a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed.

Fortunately, the damage to my vehicle was minimal. If the hay bale had struck my windshield or if I had lost control of my van, however, I could have been seriously injured or killed.
