How can carbon dioxide be causing Earth to warm?

Whatever happened to global warming? The latest temperature data from the National Oceans and Atmospheric Administration show no significant increase for the last 10 or so years. Carbon dioxide, however, has continued to increase over the last 10 years, and currently is hovering at about 395 parts per million.

How, then, is it possible for carbon dioxide to cause global warming if its concentration is increasing but the temperature is not?

At 395 ppm, we have 0.000391, which is 0.0391 percent.

How is it possible that less than one-tenth of a percent of the molecules in the air reflect back toward the Earth enough infrared energy to cause global warming?

Of the greenhouse gases, the most abundant is water vapor, which also reflects infrared emissions from Earth and over which man has no influence. Global warmists will not discuss the comparison between water vapor and carbon dioxide as they relate to "global warming."

The next time somebody tells us that manmade carbon dioxide is causing global warming, that means they believe that less than a tenth of a percent of the greenhouse gas inventory controls the temperature of the Earth. Can we believe that?
