Letter to the Editor
Recently, it has come to the attention of the media that sheriffs around our great nation are refusing to enforce any legislation that violates our Second Amendment rights.
Two of these men are Denny Peyman of Jackson County, Ky., and Tim Mueller of Linn County, Ore. I applaud the decision of these great men who take their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution seriously.
I want to encourage our local law enforcers to take the same pledge: That they will not enforce any legislation that is unconstitutional.
I serve in my town at the local level, and I too swore an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution.
I take my oath very seriously. I encourage all our active military members, veterans, police and public servants who swore that oath to consider their pledge and on their sacred honor to make good on their promise.
May God bless this great United States of America.
