‘Forgiveness heals the heart and soul’

 There was an article in the newspaper about Lance Armstrong being in trouble. His image has been damaged. So has that of Tiger Woods, Michael Vick, Marion Jones.

We put these professional athletes on a high pedestal with such expectations. When they fall, we simply cannot comprehend it, and we crucify them. How about forgiving them? They are only human, after all. 

In the Bible, Matthew 6:14-15 says, “For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly father will forgive you.

But if you do not forgive others for their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.”

True forgiveness heals the heart and the soul. Give it a chance. Forgive those who made the mistakes that hurt you.
