Former governor and now Sen. Angus King has worked hard to ensure his liberal street cred is intact for next election. In the past two weeks, he has determined there is no such thing as Obamacare and would like to waterboard Dick Cheney. Once he throws in his support of Hillary for 2016, he will hit the trifecta.

As a declared independent, hopefully King can get the president to explain where the 5 million green jobs he promised to grow and prevent the home health Medicare reductions of 14 percent over the next four years.

His Cheney road show, of course, will keep him on the TV circuit for sometime. Maybe the next time King sits in the green room awaiting air time, he will take note of a statement by George Orwell: “People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”
