I hope John Frary never taught a statistical methods course at Middlesex County College, where he was a professor for 22 years.
In his April 6 column, Frary takes a non-random sample of one person on general assistance, and confidently deduces the behaviors and motivations of tens of thousands of people. Then he goes on in the column to wonder why people dismiss his evidence as “anecdotal.” Gee, I wonder why?
