Some times cell phones just shouldn’t work

I am all for technology, and with all the advancements in cell phones and such you would think someone would be smart enough to invent a chip that is embedded in all cell phones rendering them useless in moving vehicles, restaurants, movie theaters and classrooms.

In vehicles, it’s pretty obvious why. Some bars and restaurants have trivia night and wouldn’t it be great if people couldn’t cheat and Google the answers. I go to the movies a lot, and it never fails I have someone around me who is talking or texting through most of the movie. Movies are expensive; they should stay home if they want to do that.

Ask any educator, and see how many of their students have tried to Google test answers while taking tests. In the rest of the school, the phone could work, just not in classrooms.

A device that could render itself useless in these situations would truly be a Smart Phone.
