Antifreeze dangerous if dogs and cats ingest it

This winter, I've been seeing a lot of pink antifreeze (maybe it's transmission fluid or some other engine fluid) from snowmobiles and sidewalk plows on the sidewalks.

Antifreeze can cause severe health problems for dogs and cats because it tastes good to them. People should be especially careful allowing their pets to walk near this substance. In addition to not letting them lick it, pet owners should clean their pets well after walks, especially their paws and stomach.
