With thoughtfully used money from the Fund for a Healthy Maine, Somerset Heart Health and other Healthy Maine Partnerships have created programs that have improved the health of our citizens for far less than the cost of routine medical care.
This money has directly benefited not only our health, but also our economy by improving the working capacity of our most important asset, our people.
Legislation that improves the capacity for our community to reach its highest potential, whether it be in health care, agriculture or forestry, is what makes Jeff McCabe stand out. I know he will vote to keep the Fund for a Healthy Maine working for all Maine citizens.
I ask those who agree to encourage their representatives and senators to keep this important fund intact.
