It's simple: Spend just the money taken in

Back in 1972, I ran the budget for Army recruiting for Maine and New Hampshire.

It was simple: I was allocated so much money to operate on, that was it, could I not go above it.

Our politicians should have to follow the same rules so the U.S. government doesn't overspend.
