Letter to the Editor
Our government is not accountable to the people.
Four people died in Benghazi, the official reports says state department employees deserve to be disciplined. They can't be fired for incompetence by law.
The government sent thousands of guns to Mexican drug lords, and nobody lost his job, even though it was illegal.
Does this mean the government can break the law and it is OK?
We have not had a budget in four years, as is required by law.
Apparently, though, the law applies only to us citizens, not the federal government.
If the government gets its way and I give my grandfather's gun to my son without doing a background check, I will go to jail and receive a fine so big it could take everything I have.
Different rules for them and us is not what the founders had in mind. This is a sad state of affairs, not what our veterans fought for.
