Letter to the Editor
I find it incredulous that your newspaper's editorial, "Local sales tax could help balance budgets" (Feb. 21) would suggest raising tax revenue by putting local sales taxes in place.
The real answer is to cut and keep cutting until the state can balance its budget, the same way every taxpayer in Maine has to do.
The more government gets, the more it spends.
