To the people who make Skowhegan great, thanks

Letter to the Editor

The end of a year is often a time of changes. We all know people in town who we have admired, who have served us well, who have other plans and will be missed.

We, no doubt, took them for granted and never told them how pleased we have been for them to be in our lives and in the social fabric of our town. It is the people who make Skowhegan such a wonderful place.

The woman at the back counter of Variety Drug who has retired, the veterinary technician at the Animal Medical Clinic who will be moving and the excellent, caring physician who will be retiring from the ER at Redington-Fairview Hospital will each be missed.

To them, and others in a life transition, please know that we have appreciated your care, your services and your friendship. Thank you for helping to make Skowhegan the greatest community in the state.

As we sadly say goodbye, we wish you all the best in the next chapters of your lives.

Maxine Russakoff
