Coyotes recall one defenseman, reassign another

In a switch of defensemen Wednesday, the Phoenix Coyotes recalled David Rundblad from the Portland Pirates and assigned Michael Stone to its AHL affiliate.

In 34 games with Portland, Rundblad, who has played three games with the Coyotes, has six goals and 19 assists to lead the Pirates defensemen in total points.

Stone, who has appeared in 10 games for the Coyotes this season, has six goals and 16 assists in 33 games with the Pirates. He leads Portland defensemen with five power-play goals.
