WATERVILLE — Skowhegan scored four times in the third period to take 6-4 win over Waterville in an Eastern A hockey game Thursday night at Colby College.
Chase Nelson scored 44 seconds into the third period to tie the game at three. Kam Nelson and Jacob Johnson scored in the next two minutes to give Skowhegan (3-0-0) the lead for good.
Camden Despres, who finished with a goal and two assists, scored an insurance goal.
Jacob Johnson and Sam Haver scored in the first period for Skowhegan. Trey Minchonski, Christian Carrier, Kyle Demchak and Anthony James Paul each had an assist. Sam Edmondson stopped 18 shots to earn the win.
Waterville scored three times in the second period to take a 3-2 lead. Tom Sturtevant, Will Bolduc and Chris Lee scored for the Panthers (2-3-0).
Bolduc, Dalton Dennis and Sturtevant each had an assist. Caleb Kane had 28 saves.
Spruce Mountain 50, Madison 42: Jake McKenna had 11 points as the Phoenix beat the Bulldogs in an MVC game in Madison.
Deonte Ring and Tyler Kachnovich both added 10 points for Spruce Mountain (3-2).
Steven Lawrence and Dylan Price each scored 12 points for Madison (1-4).
Dirigo 66, Mt. Abram 37: Ian James led all scorers with 15 points, but the Roadrunners lost in Salem.
Robbie Babb had 12 points for Dirigo (5-0).
Mt. Abram falls to 0-5.
Pine Tree 49, Rangeley 30: Zach Wilday had 21 points as the Breakers beat the Lakers in Rangeley.
Jean-Pierre Tashamia added 13 points for Pine Tree (3-3).
Michael Hayley had 15 points for Rangeley (0-2).
Rangeley 65, Pine Tree 23: Blayke Morin had 19 points and five rebounds as the Lakers cruised to a win in Rangeley.
Taylor Estes added 14 points and Tori Letarte 10 for the Lakers.
Jenny Abbott chipped in with six points and seven rebounds, while Emina Gunic had eight points and six rebounds for Rangeley (2-0).
Allison Verrill had 15 points for Pine Tree (0-4).
Hall-Dale 51, Carrabec 47: Allison Crockett scored 19 points as the Bulldogs beat the Cobras in an MVC game in North Anson.
Nicole Pelletier added 10 points for Hall-Dale (2-2).
Macy Welch had 14 points and Mickayla Willette 10 for Carrabec (1-4).
Mt. Abram 41, Dirigo 35: Mikayla Luce had 14 poits as the Roadrunners beat the Cougars in an MVC game in North Anson.
Miranda Smith added 13 points for Mt. Abram (3-2).
Emma Lueders scored eight points for Dirigo (3-2).

Messalonskee 50, Hampden 44: Kassi Michaud scored a game-high 21 points as the Eagles beat the Broncos in a KVAC A game in Oakland.
Kelsey Mayo had a double-double, finishing with 19 points and 13 rebounds for Messalonskee (3-2).
Mikayla Turner grabbed eight rebounds and had for steals.
Erin Murphy had 13 points for Hampden Academy (0-5).
