SKOWHEGAN — Skowhegan scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, breaking a scoreless tie to take a 5-0 win over Mt. Blue in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A play on Friday.

With one out in the sixth, Chase Nelson reached on a two-base error. Kam Nelson and Ethan Liberty each walked to load the bases, and Adam Clukey walked to drive in a run. John Swett’s triple cleared the bases and gave the Indians (1-1) a 4-0 lead.

Chase McKenney’s suicide squeeze plated the final Skowhegan run.

Chad Carroll pitched six innings for the win, giving up two hits and five walks while striking out three. Jordan Whitney took the loss for Mt. Blue (0-2), giving up two hits and six walks while striking out three.

Oak Hill 6, Madison 0: Ryan Riordan pitched a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters while walking two as the the Raiders defeated the Bulldogs.

Riordan, a senior, also produced at the plate, smacking a double while scoring a run for Oak Hill (1-0).

Jonah Martin had two hits for the Raiders, while brother Jake Martin added a double in the win over Madison (0-1).

Brewer 9, Lawrence 2: Matt Morrow and Ben Bissell each had two hits as the Witches took the KVAC A win in Brewer.

Morrow drove in a pair of runs for Brewer (2-0). Drew Hutchins went six innings for the win.

Alex Chesley and Kyle McLain each doubled for Lawrence (0-2).

Hampden 10, Messalonskee 0, 6 innings: Matt Palmer took a no hitter into the sixth inning to lead the Broncos to the win in Hampden.

Palmer struck out 12 and walked one in the one-hit win. At the plate, Palmer hit two doubles, a single, and droe in three runs.

Hampden is 2-0, Messalonskee is 1-1.

Maranacook 18, Nokomis 15, 8 innings: The Black Bears scored three runs in the top of the eighth and held on for the KVAC Class B win in Newport. Cam Brochu led Marnacook hitters with  two singles, a home run and four RBIs. Matt Delmar added three hits while Carson Delheim, Tucker Whitman and Luke Ruffing had two hits each.

Spencer Hartsgrove, Chandler Foss and Jake Winslow each had a double and two singles for Nokomis while Justin Kasprzak added two doubles, Connor Allen a home run and single, Aron Smestad three singles and  Zach Ramsdell and Jake Nichols two singles each. Both teams are 1-1.

Leavitt 7, MCI 6: The Hornets scored four runs in the seventh inning after two were out to pul out the KVAC Class B win in Pittsfield. Levi Morin doubled home the winning run. Brian Beadrd singled and doubled for the Hornets (2-0) while Tyler Hutchinson added two singles. For Maine Central Institute (0-2), Austin Toman and Charlie Moriarty had RBI singles and Cameron Michaud and Dylan Waltrous each doubled.
